For small business in general:
- Canada Emergency Business Account (CEBA) – call your bank and apply. They have details.
- Call the BDC and apply for a loan
& With employees:
- Apply for the wage subsidy by applying through your “My Business account” https://www.canada.ca/en/department-finance/economic-response-plan/wage-subsidy.html
- If your business hasn’t dropped off, you can still do the 10% reduction but there’s nothing to specifically apply for and it’s a specific calculation, make sure you know it.
Due dates:
June 1 – personal tax returns due
June 1 – corporate filings due for those corporations having a due date after March 18 and before June 1
June 15 – personal tax returns for self-employed people due
June 30 – GST due by small business
September 1 – tax payments due for individuals including June 15
September 1 – corporation balances and installments under Part I that were due on or after March 18 and up to September 1 are due. installments
