Effective July 14, 2025 I can no longer just have you sign a form to authorize me to talk with you.
You are welcome to come to the initial consultation without authorization but I cannot in any way comment on your personal situation. Anything will be general information.
If you are uncomfortable with getting online, please bring your laptop and we can do it together. You will need your last Notice of Assessment so we can call CRA and I will walk you through it.
Please note going forward my confirmation of appointments will reflect this change by CRA. I wish it was different. But nobody asks me.
And if you are comfortable with the CRA process and have an online account, here are the instructions for working together. Once you have authorized me, and not before, we can set up an appointment to move forward.
- Sign in to your CRA account
- Go to your profile

- On the right side, go to authorized representative

- Click +Add
- Click “Start”

- Enter my Business Number: 889305504

- It will come up with The following representative have been identified:
Name: CJ Hamilton, Ltd
BN: 889305504
- Click next and go to “select authorization details”
- Note carefully. Before I can meet with you about any CRA issue, and before I can work with you it must be Level 2, yes for online access and no expiry.

If you have it any other way, we will not be a good fit, and I am happy to refer you to someone else.
