Tax season opens Monday, February 23, 2026 this year.
For the average person with just slips, and if you owe money, the deadline to file your personal T1 tax return is Thursday, April 30, 2026 (barring some catastrophic error at CRA).
If you are a senior, my discount period is February 23, 2026 to March 16, 2026.
I have available appointments day times, evenings and weekends, either virtually or in-person, until April 30, 2026.
EXCEPT – I am at a conference from April 17, 2026 to April 25, 2026 so there are no in-person dates available in that time frame. Cut-off for basic returns to be guaranteed completed by April 30, 2026, is April 27, 2026.
If you or your spouse are self-employed, then the filing deadline is June 15, 2026.
A reminder, I am no longer filing US tax returns.
If you are a new referral, I offer a free half hour consultation either in-person or virtually, until March 16, 2026. After that it is straight to preparation.
And a reminder, in order for me to do any preparation, I must have authorization. If you are a returning client, I probably already have that so you can disregard this.
